I’m a periodontal patient who has spent more than a decade pursuing treatment, including costly procedures, while trying to address significant black triangles between my teeth.

My question has remained remarkably simple:

Can I be evaluated for a removable gingival prosthesis?

I found published clinical cases. I found dental laboratories capable of fabricating the appliance. What I struggled to find was a complete pathway connecting me to the treatment.

I’ve contacted dental professionals throughout the United States and abroad. I’ve even explored traveling to South America.

That is why Black Triangles Help exists.

As Del Perio, I follow the research, contact clinicians and laboratories, document their answers, and work to turn one patient’s exhausting search into a practical resource for others.

The mask allows me to ask these questions publicly without making my face, or my shame, the price of being heard.

And if I eventually obtain my own gingival mask, the work will continue.

Because finding a solution for myself is not the same thing as making one accessible to everyone else.
